Come help honour those workers and their families who lost their lives between 1826 and 1832 while building the Rideau Canal.
2023 Marks the 191st anniversary of the completion of the Rideau Canal, it is also the 16th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Site designation and the 19th anniversary of the official unveiling of the Rideau Canal Celtic Cross monument in Ottawa.
The Rideau Canal Celtic Cross monument is located across from the Bytown Museum along the Rideau Canal between Parliament Hill and the Chateau Laurier.
